These terms explain your rights, responsibilities, payment obligations, service scope, confidentiality, revisions, delivery, and dispute handling.

1. Definitions

"Service" or "Services"
Certified translation services provided by Translation86, including but not limited to document translation, editing, proofreading, and certification.
"Client" or "User"
Any individual or entity that uses our Services, creates an account, or submits translation requests.
"Document" or "Source Material"
Any file, text, image, or content submitted by the Client for translation.
"Deliverable"
The translated and certified document provided to the Client upon completion of the Service.
"Project"
A specific translation request submitted by the Client.
"Website"
The Translation86 platform accessible at www.translation86.com and its subdomains.

2. Service Agreement

2.1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2.2 Service Scope

Our Services include:

  • Certified translation from Arabic/English to Chinese and vice versa
  • Official document certification and notarization, where applicable
  • Proofreading and quality assurance
  • Format preservation and document preparation
  • Secure document delivery

2.3 Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Submit clear, readable source documents
  • Specify any special requirements or instructions
  • Verify that you have the right to translate submitted documents
  • Review deliverables and report any issues within 7 days

3. Account Registration & Security

3.1 Account Creation

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account use

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • All activities under your account
  • Keeping your password secure
  • Logging out after each session
  • Using secure internet connections

Important Security Note

Translation86 will never ask for your password via email or phone. If you receive such a request, do not respond and contact us immediately.

4. Pricing & Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing Structure

Our pricing is based on:

  • Number of words/pages
  • Language pair and complexity
  • Urgency level, standard or express
  • Additional services, certification, notarization, and related requirements

4.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is required before work begins on standard projects
  • Large projects may require a 50% deposit
  • We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and online payment methods
  • All prices are in US Dollars unless otherwise specified

4.3 Refund Policy

Refunds may be issued in the following cases:

  • Project cancellation before work begins: 100% refund
  • Cancellation during translation: refund proportional to work completed
  • Non-acceptance by official entity with proof: 100% refund or free revision
  • Service failure due to our error: 100% refund

Note on Pricing Changes

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. However, the price quoted and accepted at the time of order confirmation remains valid for that specific project.

5. Delivery & Acceptance

5.1 Delivery Timeline

Delivery times depend on:

  • Document length and complexity
  • Selected service level, standard or express
  • Current workload and availability
  • Client responsiveness during the review process

5.2 Delivery Methods

We deliver via:

  • Secure email with password protection
  • Direct download from your account dashboard
  • Courier service for physical documents, with additional charges where applicable

5.3 Acceptance Period

  • Clients have 7 days from delivery to report any issues
  • After 7 days, the deliverable is considered accepted
  • Revisions requested after acceptance may incur additional charges
  • Acceptance does not waive rights for corrections of errors made by us

6. Quality Guarantee & Revisions

6.1 Quality Standards

We guarantee:

  • Accuracy and completeness of translation
  • Adherence to official terminology and standards
  • Format preservation according to client specifications
  • Compliance with target country requirements

6.2 Revisions Policy

We provide:

  • Free minor corrections within 30 days of delivery
  • Major revisions due to our error: free of charge
  • Revisions due to client changes: quoted separately
  • Priority revision service for urgent requests

6.3 Non-Acceptance Guarantee

If your translated document is not accepted by the intended official entity:

  • We will revise it free of charge to meet requirements
  • If still not accepted, we offer a full refund
  • Client must provide official written rejection notice
  • Guarantee applies to standard certified translations only

7. Confidentiality & Data Protection

7.1 Confidentiality Commitment

We commit to:

  • Treat all client documents as confidential
  • Sign NDAs with all translators and staff
  • Implement strict access controls
  • Use secure file transfer and storage systems

7.2 Data Protection

We comply with data protection regulations including:

  • GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation
  • Local data protection laws
  • Industry best practices for document security

7.3 Document Retention

We retain documents for:

  • Active projects: until completion
  • Completed projects: 1 year for reference
  • Financial records: 7 years as required by law
  • Client can request earlier deletion at any time

Data Security Note

We use enterprise-grade encryption for all document transfers and storage. Our systems undergo regular security audits to ensure your data remains protected.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

8.1 Client Rights

You retain:

  • All rights to original source documents
  • Right to use translated documents for intended purposes
  • Ownership of confidential information contained in documents

8.2 Our Rights

We retain:

  • Right to use anonymized data for quality improvement
  • Copyright to our translation methodologies and tools
  • Right to display anonymized portfolio samples with client permission

8.3 Copyright Transfer

Upon full payment:

  • Translation copyright transfers to the client
  • Client receives exclusive right to use the translation
  • We retain the right to keep a confidential copy for our records

9. Limitations of Liability

9.1 General Limitation

Our liability is limited to:

  • The amount paid for the specific project in question
  • Direct damages caused by our negligence
  • Corrections or refunds as specified in these terms

9.2 Exclusions

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
  • Loss of profits, business, or opportunities
  • Changes in official requirements after delivery
  • Client errors in source documents
  • Force majeure events

9.3 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against:

  • Claims arising from your use of our Services
  • Violation of third-party intellectual property rights
  • Misuse of translated documents
  • Breach of these Terms and Conditions

10. Termination & Suspension

10.1 Client Termination Rights

You may terminate:

  • Any project before work begins, with full refund
  • Your account at any time
  • For our material breach of these terms

10.2 Our Termination Rights

We may terminate or suspend:

  • Accounts violating these terms
  • Projects with illegal or inappropriate content
  • Services for non-payment
  • For security or legal compliance reasons

10.3 Effects of Termination

Upon termination:

  • All outstanding fees become immediately due
  • Access to your account may be suspended
  • We will deliver any completed work
  • Confidentiality obligations continue

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Informal Resolution

Before formal proceedings:

  • Parties agree to attempt amicable resolution
  • Disputes should be reported within 30 days
  • We commit to respond within 7 business days

11.2 Mediation

If informal resolution fails:

  • Parties agree to mediation before litigation
  • Mediation costs shared equally
  • Mediation to be completed within 60 days

11.3 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These terms are governed by laws of Saudi Arabia
  • Disputes subject to Riyadh courts jurisdiction
  • International clients may choose arbitration

12. General Provisions

12.1 Amendments

We may update these terms:

  • With 30 days notice for major changes
  • Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes
  • Previous terms apply to existing projects

12.2 Severability

If any provision is invalid:

  • Remaining provisions remain in effect
  • Invalid provision replaced with valid one
  • Intention of original provision preserved

12.3 Force Majeure

Neither party liable for:

  • Natural disasters and acts of God
  • Government actions or restrictions
  • Internet or utility failures
  • Other events beyond reasonable control

12.4 Entire Agreement

These terms constitute:

  • The complete agreement between parties
  • Supersede all prior agreements
  • May only be amended in writing

Acceptance of Terms

By using Translation86 services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
